APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Black’s.

PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1905,” the undersigned, Alfred Dillon Bell, of Waihemo, Sheep-farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right: 23rd March, 1906; No. 57407.

Address for service: Care of E. C. Cutten, Solicitor, Naseby.

Dated at Black’s, this 23rd day of March, 1906.

SCHEDULE.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: In Tiger Hill District, commencing on Dovedale Creek at a point near the boundary of pre-emptive right on Run 261B, near mouth of gorge, and using the bed of the creek as the course of the race flowing through said pre-emptive right and Run 261B for three-quarters of a mile, then through Run 261A for half a mile, and terminating at dam in Section 10, Block IV, of said district, about 10 chains from western boundary of said section pegs marked “B,” and trenches cut.

Length and intended course of race: One mile and a quarter; south east to north-west.

Points of intake: Commencing-point.

Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. 3 in.; 2 ft. 6 in.

Number of heads to be diverted: Two heads.

Purpose for which water is to be used: Wool-scouring and irrigation.

Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.

Length and intended course of race: About two miles; east and west.
