I, GEORGE MACKAY MACDONALD, M.D. B.C. Cantab., M.R.C.P. Lond., M.R.C.S. Lond., L.S.A., now residing in Christchurch, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 24th April next to have my name placed on the Medical Register for the Colony of New Zealand, and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Christchurch.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that, owing to the ill health of Mr. James Wilson, the Partnership heretofore existing between RICHARD CLEMENT KIRK and the said JAMES WILSON as Barristers and Solicitors, at Wellington, Petone, and Otaki, under the style of “Kirk and Wilson,” has been dissolved as from the 11th day of September, 1905.

The business will be carried on by the said Richard Clement Kirk under the same name as formerly—viz., “Kirk and Wilson.”

Mr. Kirk will discharge all liabilities of and receive all amounts owing to the late partnership.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between us, the undersigned JOSEPH MURGATROYD and JOHN MURGATROYD, in the trade or business of Wool-brokers and Wool-scourers, carried on by us at Christchurch and Auckland, under the style or firm of “Murgatroyd Bros,” was this day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid by the undersigned Joseph Murgatroyd, by whom the business will in future be carried on at Auckland, under the style or firm of “Murgatroyd Bros.”

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has for some time past been carried on by GEORGE HENRY MORRIS and ERNEST WILLIAM BROWN HORNABROOK, under the firm of “Morris and Co.,” at Wellington, as Commission Agents, was this day dissolved by mutual consent. The business will in future be carried on by George Henry Morris, as “Morris and Co.,” and he will receive all moneys due and pay all debts owing by the late firm.

COMMISSIONER OF THE SUPREME COURT APPOINTED.

NOTICE.—EDGAR HENRY LIMBERT, Esq., of the City of Adelaide, in the State of South Australia, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of that State, has this day been appointed by His Honour Theophilus Cooper, Esq., a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the said Supreme Court of New Zealand in South Australia, under section 2 of “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

I, MAURICE JAMES POOCH, of Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland and Colony of New Zealand, Carter, do hereby give notice that on and after the nineteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and six, the names “MAURICE FITZ-JAMES” will be assumed, taken, and adopted by me in lieu of the names “Maurice James Pooch,” by which I have heretofore been called and known, and that at all times hereafter the names “MAURICE FITZ-JAMES” will alone be used and adopted by me in all transactions, documents, and writings, legal and other proceedings and instruments; and I further give notice that a duplicate of this notice has been filed in the Supreme Court Office at Auckland aforesaid.

THE Government having acquired a large portion of our Kinloch Estate for closer settlement, notice is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, HUGH DUNCANSON BUCHANAN and JOHN FLETCHER BUCHANAN, carrying on business as Sheep-farmers at Little River, under the style or firm of “H. D. and J. F. Buchanan,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said John Fletcher Buchanan, who will continue to work the Homestead Block.

NOTICE is hereby given that the voluntary liquidation of Austin Walsh and Company (Limited) has now been concluded, and a meeting of shareholders was duly convened by the Liquidators, and held on the 14th instant, to receive the final accounts.

The statements of account and report by the Receiver disclosed the fact that proceeds from realisations had proved insufficient to pay preferential creditors in full, and that ordinary creditors and shareholders could not look for anything from the estate.

In the matter of the Waimea Plains Co-operative Dairying Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at the factory of the company, near Riversdale, on the 13th day of February, 1906, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened, and held at the same place on the 13th day of March, 1906, the following resolution was duly confirmed, that is to say :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And at such last-mentioned meeting FREDERICK SUTHERLAND, of Riversdale, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier Borough Council has by resolution decided to bring “The Motor Registration Act, 1905,” into operation in the Borough of Napier, and that the date upon which the said Act is to be brought into operation in the said borough is the 1st day of May, 1906.
