THE following special order, made by the Cambridge Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order re High-level Bridge Loan, £3,500.
THAT, in accordance with the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments of the same respectively, the Cambridge Borough Council do hereby authorise by special order the raising of a special loan of £3,500 for the purpose of paying the contributions of the Borough of Cambridge to the cost of the High-level Bridge over the Waikato at Cambridge, and the making of an annual-recurring special rate of 7d. in the pound on the annual value of all rateable property in the said borough as security for the interest and sinking fund in connection with such loan; the sinking fund to be 10s. in the £100. The whole of the loan to be repayable at the expiration of fifty years from the raising of the loan. The cost of raising the loan, the first year’s interest during the construction of the said works, and a sum not exceeding £150 for surveys and preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan is authorised, to be paid out of the loan-moneys.
The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council held on the 15th day of February, 1906, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 19th day of March, 1906.

THE following special order, made by the Eltham Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order to pay Interest out of General Account.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That the interest on the special loan of £16,000 (amount inscribed £16,337 14s. 11d.), raised by the Council for water and drainage works within the borough, be paid out of the General Fund of the Borough of Eltham.
The above resolution was adopted at a special meeting of the Eltham Borough Council held on the 20th day of February, 1906, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 23rd day of March, 1906.

THE following special order, made by the Palmerston North Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” the Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North Borough Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of protecting the river-bank at Hokowhitu and improving the Kawa drain, the said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property of the Palmerston North Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Certified to be a true copy of a resolution adopted at a special meeting of the Palmerston North Borough Council held on the 6th day of February, 1906, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 13th day of March, 1906.

THE following special order, made by the Otamatea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” in substitution for that published on page 2881 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1905.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
“The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,620, authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling various portions of the main roads within the districts hereinafter named, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅘d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ridings of Wairau, Whakapirau, Paparoa, and Road District of Matakohe, comprising all the rateable property contained within the boundaries of the said Ridings of Wairau, Whakapirau, Paparoa, and Road District of Matakohe; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, George Frederick Linnell, Chairman of the Otamatea County Council, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a copy of a special order duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on the 5th day of February, 1906, and duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 19th day of March, 1906.
