Convening the First Meeting of Horouta Maori Council under the Provisions of “The Maori Councils Act, 1900.”

Native Minister’s Office, Wellington, 12th March, 1906.

IN pursuance of the provisions of the 10th section of “The Maori Councils Act, 1900,” I hereby convene the first meeting of the Horouta Maori Council at Tauma on Wednesday, the 21st March, 1906, at 11 a.m., instead of at Port Awanui on the 23rd February, 1906, as previously notified.

Note.—The weather unusually dull, windy, and wet, the approximate mean monthly temperature being the lowest on record for the month of February. The mean daily range of temperature, 10·5°F. Mean relative humidity, 80 per cent. Mean dew point, 51·3°, and mean elastic force of vapour, 0·378 inches.
