Lands proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Block VIII, Oamaru Survey District, Waitaki County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners and of the mortgagee of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Waitaki County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Oamaru Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto, which are not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above noted, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section twenty-one of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work the Governor may at any time, by Proclamation duly gazetted, set the same apart for such public work without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect to the taking or setting apart of other lands for such purpose:

And whereas the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are Crown lands, and are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” for a certain public work, to wit, for the purpose of a road in Blocks III, IV, and V, Tryphena Survey District:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of a road.
