Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 21st February, 1906.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 18704.—5th November, 1904.—FRED WILKINSON, of Britannia Street, Petone, Wellington, New Zealand, Warehouseman. Improved bracket for spouting.*

[NOTE.—The title in this case has been altered. See list of provisional specifications, Gazette No. 95 of the 24th November, 1904.]

Claim.—For the purpose indicated, and in combination with spouting-bracket as hereinbefore described, a metal or other stay or brace passing over the spouting, one end of which can be first fixed to the building, and the outer end of which brace is so formed that it can be connected as indicated in the drawings with the spouting bracket, which bracket then passes under the spouting and can be nailed or otherwise fixed to the wall after the spouting is placed in position, as shown in the drawings and substantially as specified.

No. 19138.—25th February, 1905.—THOMAS HIGGIE, of Wanganui, New Zealand, Farmer. Improvements relating to driving-reins.*

Claims.—(1.) For the purpose indicated, a pair of reins having one end of each rein secured to a bit and their other ends terminating in a ring secured to the collar, slip-rings passed upon the reins, second reins from the driver’s hands passed through the said slip-rings through a ring on the crupper and secured to the shafts and forming a kicking-strap, substantially as set forth. (2.) For the purpose indicated, a pair of reins having one end of one rein passed through a bit-ring, thence through a ring near the horse’s forehead, then passed around the throat and having its end secured to another ring upon the other side of the forehead, the corresponding end of the other rein being secured to the bit-ring, both the other ends of the reins terminating in a ring secured to the collar, slip-rings passed upon the reins, second reins from the driver’s hands passed through the said slip-rings through a ring on the crupper, and secured to the shafts, and forming a kicking-strap, substantially as set forth. (3.) The combination and arrangement of parts comprising the improvements relating to driving-reins, substantially as and for the purposes set forth and illustrated in the drawing.
