WHEREAS has made application for a license for the following vehicle [or traction-engine] to be used on roads within the said borough, pursuant to the provisions of By-law No. 3, that is to say,—

And whereas the issue of such license has been duly authorised by the Council of the said borough.
Now, therefore, I, the Town Clerk of the said borough, by the authority and on behalf of the said Council, do hereby license the said vehicle [or traction-engine] to be used on roads within the Borough of Alexandra for the period of one year from the date hereof, and no longer, subject to the said by-law and to such other by-laws as may from time to time be in force in the said borough.
Given under my hand, at the Town Clerk’s Office, Alexandra, this day of , 190 .
This by-law was duly made by the Council of the Borough of Alexandra by special order duly passed and adopted on the 8th day of January, 1906, and after being duly advertised was confirmed on the 5th day of February, 1906, and ordered to be publicly notified to come into force on the 14th day of February, 1906.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Alexandra was hereto affixed, this 5th day of February, 1906.

I, WILLIAM FULTON NEIL, Bachelor of Medicine, New Zealand, 1906, and Bachelor of Surgery, New Zealand, 1906, and now residing at Dunedin, do hereby give notice that I intend to apply on the 10th day of March, 1906, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Colony of New Zealand, and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualifications at the office of the Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages.

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.
A SPECIAL Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is now published fortnightly, containing all notices concerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents, expired letters patent, and other information useful to inventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on payment of a subscription of ten shillings per annum, payable in advance to the Government Printer.
