Lands and Water taken for Waimate Waterworks in Blocks IX and XIV, Waimate Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands and water mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” for a certain public work, to wit, for the purposes of waterworks for the supply of pure water for the use of the inhabitants of the Borough of Waimate, in pursuance of powers granted by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900”:

And whereas the Council of the Borough of Waimate has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by maps, and also the statutory declaration, as required by “The Public Works Act, 1905”:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by the above-mentioned Acts, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, on and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto and the water mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of waterworks, and shall vest in the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Waimate in manner provided by section nineteen of “The Public Works Act, 1905.”

SECOND SCHEDULE.
WATER TAKEN.

The water from the Waimate Creek or Stream from a point at which a dam is to be erected about 8 chains down the said creek or stream, from the south-west corner of Rural Section 32424, and from such dam by a 6 in. diameter cast-iron pipe to the storage-reservoir; as delineated and shown on the deposited plans R. 7963, R. 7963A, R. 7963B, and R. 7963C, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners, lessee, and mortgagee of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Papakura Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Wairoa Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.
