Crown Land reserved under “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903” (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor may appoint a Commission who may inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic interest, or on which there may be thermal springs, and report thereon to the Governor, with recommendations as to what lands should be reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And whereas such Commission was duly appointed, and, after inspection, recommended that the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereunder should be permanently reserved for historic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be reserved under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, being part of Subdivision 1 of Section No. 4, Tataraimaka District (Block II, Cape Survey District). Bounded towards the north-west and north generally by the Tasman Sea; towards the south-east by the Coast Road, 431·2 links; towards the south by the Coast Road, 324·3 links; and towards the west by part of Subdivision No. 1 of Section No. 4, Tataraimaka District aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 54876/13, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Rangitikei County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as roads the lands in Rangitoto Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto, which are not required by reason of the roads first hereinbefore proclaimed.
