mentioned: And whereas on the first day of June, one
thousand nine hundred and five, certain regulations were
made under the said Act, which were published in the New
Zealand Gazette of the first day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and five: And whereas it is expedient now to revoke
dress regulations for Royal New Zealand Engineers:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby
revoke paragraph numbered six hundred and four, relating
to dress regulations for Royal New Zealand Engineers, and
in lieu thereof do hereby make the regulations now set
forth as under, which shall come into force on the first day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and five.
FULL DRESS.
Jacket: Double-breasted reefer jacket of blue cloth, with
sixteen large-sized gilt buttons (naval pattern).
Waistcoat: Blue cloth, single-breasted; six small gilt
buttons.
Trousers: Blue cloth (plain).
Cap: Blue cloth (with naval Crown-and-anchor badge,
or monogram in brass letters).
Shirt: White, with turned-down collar.
Tie: Black silk, two inches wide.
UNDRESS.
Undress: Same as full dress, except that the blue jersey
is worn instead of the white shirt and collar.
WORKING OR FATIGUE DRESS.
Working-dress: Jerseys, blue, woollen; trousers, blue
serge; cap, blue cloth.

Volunteer Regulations as to Military Examination of Officers
of Field Engineer Volunteers amended.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Defence Act, 1886,” and the
amending Act, 1900, it is, among other things,
enacted that the Governor may from time to time make,
alter, or revoke regulations respecting the enrolment,
promotion, discipline, training, exercise, arms, accoutre-
ments, clothing, equipment, conveyance, pay, rations, and
lodging of the Forces, or any portion thereof, and respect-
ing the several other matters in the said Act mentioned:
And whereas on the fourth day of February, one thousand
nine hundred and five, certain regulations were made
under the said Act, which were published in the New
Zealand Gazette of the sixteenth day of February, one
thousand nine hundred and five: And whereas it is now
expedient to add to the Regulations for School of Instruc-
tion for Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers in the
manner following:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby
make the additions to the above-quoted regulations set
forth, which shall come into force on the first day of June,
one thousand nine hundred and five.
NEW ZEALAND VOLUNTEER FORCE.—MILITARY EXAMINATION
OF OFFICERS.—SYLLABUS.—FIELD ENGINEER VOLUNTEERS.
After last word “Practical” under above head add the
words: “For Lieutenant Commanding Field Telegraph
Section.—1, discipline; 2, duties; 3, drills; 4, musketry;
5, field telegraphy; 6, practical.”
BOOKS RECOMMENDED.—FIELD ENGINEERS.
After last word “Manual” under above head, add
“Manual of Field Telegraphy.”

this twenty-fourth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and five.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries
Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
ALEXANDER PETERS
to be a Trustee, in the place of John George Hartill, deceased,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Nile Hill
Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons
previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-first day of September, one thousand
nine hundred and five.
