Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Dannevirke Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of September, 1905.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” and the amendments thereof (including “The Domain Boards Act, 1904”), His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and one, delegating powers to the Dannevirke Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint

THE DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL

to be the Dannevirke Domain Board, having, subject to the said Acts, control of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called the Dannevirke Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and five, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Dannevirke, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 40 acres, more or less, being Suburban Section No. 12, Town of Dannevirke. Bounded towards the north, east, and south-east by the Mangatera River; towards the south-west by Section No. 11, 3600 links; towards the north-west by the main road from Woodville to Napier, 116 and 302 links; and towards the north-east by Christian Street to the south-west boundary of Section No. 13, and by Section No. 13 to the Mangatera River: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 47243, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon coloured red.

Recreation Reserve in Auckland Land District brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of September 1905.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such domain shall hereafter be known as Paiaka Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

PAIAKA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 22 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, being portions of Sections Nos. 180, 181, and 182, Parish of Waipa. Bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section No. 179, Parish of Waipa, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 179 a distance of 509 links; thence along a line in a north-easterly direction, bearing N. 86° 54′ E., a distance of 1171 links; thence along a line in a south-easterly direction, bearing S. 68° 56′ E., a distance of 906 links; thence along a line in a south-easterly direction, bearing S. 9° 50′ E., a distance of 650 links; thence along a line in a north-easterly direction,

bearing N. 85° 9′ E., a distance of 1295 links to a point on the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 184, Parish of Waipa, distant 552 links north-westerly along the said boundary-line from the south-western corner of said Section No. 184, on the Waingaro-Ngaruawahia Road; and thence westerly by the last-mentioned road to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 53336, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SCHEDULE.

OMAUI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 158 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, being Section No. 69, Block V., Campbelltown Hundred. Bounded towards the north by Crown land, and by Section No. 8, Block V., Campbelltown Hundred, 3495·9 links; thence towards the south-east by public roads, 13·1, 73·8, and 1327·6 links respectively; thence towards the east by the abutment of a public road, and by Section No. 9, Block V. aforesaid, 3838·2 links; thence towards the south by a public road, 4019·9 links; and thence towards the north-west by a public road, 5035·9 links: exclusive of a public road which intersects the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. & S. 53378, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of September, 1905.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by “The Kauri-gum Industry Amendment Act, 1902” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council declare that land set apart under “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898” (hereinafter termed “the principal Act”), as a kauri-gum reserve, and which is no longer required for the purpose of gum-digging, shall be no longer subject to the principal Act, and shall thereafter be dealt with by the Land Board as ordinary Crown land; provided that such Order in Council shall only be issued in pursuance of a resolution of the Land Board, supported by such independent evidence as the Governor in Council deems necessary:

And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of the Tauhoa No. 1 Kauri-gum Reserve described in the Schedule hereto be excepted from the operation of the
