Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventy-third section of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

As the same is delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above noted.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Waiau Block (Blocks XIII. and XIV., Waiau Survey District) (5,799 Acres).
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5,799 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII. and XIV., Waiau Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a proposed camp reserve of 5 acres, Block XIII., Waiau Survey District, by a road reserve along the left bank of the Orauea River, and by a proposed gravel reserve of 2 acres of the said Block XIII. to the Tuatapere-Merrivale Road; towards the south-east by the last-mentioned road to a point in line with the south-western side of the road forming the south-western boundary of a proposed forest reserve of 260 acres; again towards the north-east by the crossing of the said Tuatapere-Merrivale Road, and by the said road forming the south-western boundary of the said proposed forest reserve to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Gully Road; towards the north-west by the crossing of a road reserve, and by the said Gully Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of the said proposed forest reserve; towards the south-west by the crossing of Gully Road, and by the said proposed forest reserve to the road reserve along the left bank of the Orauea River; again towards the north-west by the last-mentioned road reserve to Section No. 105, Block XIV., Waiau Survey District; again towards the north-east and again towards the north-west by the said Section No. 105; again towards the north-east and again towards the north-west by Section No. 82 of the said Block XIV.; again towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 1 and 82 of the said Block XIV. to the Te-tua-Merrivale Road; towards the east by the last-mentioned road to a point in line with the south-easternmost boundary-line of the said Section No. 82; again towards the north-west by the crossing of the last-mentioned road, by the said Section No. 82, by the abutment of a road reserve, and again by Section No. 82 aforesaid to its south-easternmost corner; again towards the east by a State forest reserve to the northern boundary of Block XIX., Longwood Survey District; towards the south by the northern boundary of Blocks XIX., XVIII., and XVII., Longwood Survey District; towards the west by the abutment of a public road, by a proposed township reserve, and by a road reserve along the left bank of Boundary Creek to a point in line with the north-east boundary-line of the said proposed township reserve; again towards the south-west by a right line from the said point to the north-easternmost corner of the said township reserve, by the said township reserve, by the crossing of the Tuatapere-Merrivale Road, and again by the township reserve aforesaid to the road reserve along the left bank of the Waiau River; and again towards the north-west by the last-mentioned road reserve to the proposed camp reserve first mentioned: exclusive of all
