Ratepayers of Sydenham and St. Albans Wards, Christchurch,
to elect Members of Lyttelton Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of January, 1905.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by “The Lyttelton Harbour Board Act, 1882,” that one member of the Lyttelton Harbour Board shall be elected by the ratepayers of the Borough of Sydenham, and one member of the said Board shall be elected by the ratepayers of the Borough of St. Albans:
And whereas the Boroughs of Sydenham and St. Albans have ceased to exist, and have been united to and now form part of the City of Christchurch, and have become wards of such city:
And whereas it is expedient to make provision for the election of two members of the said Board in manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by “The Harbours Act, 1878,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby declare that the ratepayers of the Sydenham Ward of the City of Christchurch shall elect a member of the Lyttelton Harbour Board in lieu of the ratepayers of the late Borough of Sydenham, and that the ratepayers of the St. Albans Ward of the said City of Christchurch shall elect a member of the said Board in lieu of the ratepayers of the late Borough of St. Albans, such boroughs having ceased to exist as aforesaid.

Notice of Intention to take Lands for Scenery-preservation
in Opihi Survey District, Mount Peel Road District,
Geraldine County.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” to take land for a certain public work, to wit, the purposes of scenery-preservation, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is further given that the plan of the said land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Geraldine County Council, Geraldine, in the Canterbury Land District, and is there open for inspection. And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.
