NOTE.—Very fine month for midwinter, and the rainfall the lowest recorded at Wellington for the month of July. Strong N.W. winds blew on 23rd, 24th, and 25th; but on the whole it was a calm month. Light hail fell on 17th. Frosts occurred on 3rd, 4th, and 20th, and there was considerable fog at nights and mornings. Mean daily range of temperature, 10·3 deg. Fahr. Mean relative humidity, 74 per cent. Mean elastic force of vapour, ·258 in.; and the mean dew point, 41·1 deg. Fahr.
