Changing the Purpose for which Land in Te Araroa Native Township is vested in His Majesty.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section two of “The Native Townships Amendment Act, 1903,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the advice and report of the Minister of Native Affairs, as in the said section is provided, do by this notification direct that the land described in the Schedule hereto, which is shown on the plan of Te Araroa Native Township deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Gisborne, and vested in His Majesty for purposes of “recreation,” by virtue of section twelve of “The Native Townships Act, 1895,” shall, from and after the ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and five, be changed to the purpose of a “Native allotment,” to be vested in His Majesty in trust for the Native owners, as prescribed by subsection four of the said section twelve; and I do hereby further direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette and Kahiti.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Section No. 33, shown on the plan of Te Araroa Native Township; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 28640, deposited in the Head Office of the Lands and Survey Department, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and five.
