NOTE.—On the whole a dull and wintry month. Strong N.W. winds on 11th, 12th, and 13th, and heavy N.W. gale on 23rd. Cold on morning of the 5th, only half a degree above the record for Wellington. Slight hail and sleet on night of 3rd. Air very misty at times. Relative humidity, 82 per cent. Mean dew point, 41·8 deg. Mean elastic force of vapour, ·265 in.
