Notice fixing Closing-hours of Shops in the Town District of Wyndham.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the Town District of Wyndham (not being one of the districts mentioned in section 3 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1904”), has been forwarded to me, desiring that all shops in the district shall be closed at 6 o’clock in the evening on four working-days of the week, independently of the weekly half-holiday, and at 10 o’clock in the evening on Saturdays: And whereas the Wyndham Town Board has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops within the town district:

Now, therefore, I, Richard John Seddon, the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 21 of the said Act, do hereby direct that from and after the 17th day of July, 1905, all shops in the Town District of Wyndham shall be closed, in accordance with such requisition, at 6 o’clock in the evening on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and at 10 o’clock in the evening on Saturdays. The weekly half-holiday is from 1 o’clock p.m. on Wednesdays.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Shops in the Town District of Opotiki.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the Town District of Opotiki (not being one of the districts mentioned in section 3 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1904”), has been forwarded to me, desiring that all shops in the town district shall be closed on every working-day of the week—(a) During the months of June, July, and August, at 5.30 o’clock in the evening; (b) during the remaining months of September to May, inclusive, at 6 o’clock in the evening, excepting on Wednesday, the weekly half-holiday, when shops close at 1 o’clock p.m., and Saturdays, when shops shall close at 10 p.m.: And whereas the Opotiki Town Board has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops within the town district:

Now, therefore, I, Richard John Seddon, the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 21 of the said Act, do hereby direct that from and after the 17th day of July, 1905, all shops in the Town District of Opotiki shall be closed in accordance with the requisition.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Chemists and Druggists’ Shops in the Borough of Invercargill.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the chemists and druggists’ shops in the Borough of Invercargill (not being one of the districts mentioned in section 3 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1904”), has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed at 8.30 o’clock in the evening on four working-days of the week, at 10 o’clock in the evening on Saturdays, and at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesdays, excepting on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, when the hour for closing shall be 11 p.m.: And whereas the Invercargill Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the chemists and druggists’ shops within the borough:

Now, therefore, I, Richard John Seddon, the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 21 of the said Act, do hereby direct that from and after the 17th day of July, 1905, all chemists and druggists’ shops in the Borough of Invercargill shall be closed, accordingly, at 8.30 o’clock in the evening on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, at 10 o’clock in the evening on Saturdays, and at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesdays, excepting on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, when the hour for closing shall be 11 p.m.
