Drainage Act, 1904,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the said Fencourt Drainage District by including in such district the area of land described in the said petition and in the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such addition as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN THE FENCOURT DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 156, Tamahere Parish, bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 160 from the southernmost corner of the said Section No. 160 to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 156 aforesaid; thence towards the north-east by the said road forming the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the northernmost corner of Section No. 157; thence towards the south-east by Section No. 157 to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 159; and thence towards the south-west by the last-mentioned road to the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
FENCOURT DRAINAGE DISTRICT (EXTENDED BOUNDARIES).
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by Section No. 160, Tamahere Parish, from the southernmost corner of the said Section No. 160 to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 156, Tamahere Parish; thence by the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 156 and 157, Tamahere Parish, to the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 337, Hautapu Parish; thence by the north-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 337 to Pukemoremore Trig. Station; thence by the Karokaro, Pukehinau, Kiwitahi No. 3A, and Kaipaka Blocks to the easternmost corner of Te Miro Block; thence towards the south-east generally by the Maungakawa Block to the road intersecting the said Maungakawa Block; thence by that road and the road intersecting the Maunganui Block to the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 337, Hautapu Parish; thence by lines so as to include the said Section No. 337 to the south-western corner of that section; thence by the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 295, 296, 225, 226, and 227 to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south by the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 227 and 220, Hautapu Parish, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south-west generally by the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 215, 214, and 213, by the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 213 and 212, and by the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 206 and 204 to the southernmost corner of Section No. 320; thence by the said Section No. 320 to the road forming its north-eastern boundary; thence by a line across that road; thence by the last-mentioned road and the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 319, 318, 317, 316, 315, and 313, Hautapu Parish, the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 313 and 314, and the road forming the south-western boundary of Section No. 337 to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 165; thence by the said road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 165, 166, 169, 170, 172, and 173, Hautapu Parish, to the southern boundary of Section No. 157, Tamahere Parish; and thence by the southern and south-western boundaries of the said Section No. 157 and by the south-western boundary of Section No. 156 to the southernmost corner of Section No. 160, Tamahere Parish, the place of commencement.

Regulations under which Advances may be made to Occupiers of Land in Mataroa Village Settlement.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of July, 1905.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and seventy of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council is authorised to make regulations under which advances of money may be made by the Colonial Treasurer from any sums voted for the purpose by Parliament to occupiers of village-settlement lands under section one hundred and sixty-nine of the said Act, in order that they may be enabled to profitably occupy their respective allotments:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations upon which advances of money may be made to occupiers of the lands in the Mataroa Village Settlement described in the Schedule hereto:—
REGULATIONS.

An advance of a sum not exceeding £50 may be made to the lessee within the first five years from the date of selection towards the cost of building a dwellinghouse.

Applications for advances must be made to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, at Wellington.

No advance shall exceed three-fourths the value of the building erected, or to be erected, by the lessee upon his section.

No advance shall be made save on the written certificate of an Inspector appointed in that behalf by the Land Board, specifying the total value of the work done by the lessee, the amount to which tenders have been accepted for the erection of any buildings, and the amount of the advance to which he is entitled, and certifying that such work has been well and faithfully done and to the Inspector’s satisfaction.

Such advance, together with interest thereon at the rate of five per cent. per annum computed from the date of the advance, shall be repayable by the lessee by equal half-yearly instalments in advance, extending over such period, being not less than five nor more than ten years, as, with the approval of the Minister, the Land Board thinks fit to prescribe. All such payments shall be made to the Receiver of Land Revenue, at Wellington, on the half-yearly rent-days: Provided that the lessee may at any time during such period repay the whole or any less number of the then future instalments under a duly proportionate rebate of interest.

A certificate under the hand of the said Commissioner shall at all times and from time to time be conclusive evidence as to the date and amount of the advance, the amounts and due dates of the instalments, and the sums paid and unpaid in respect thereof.

As long as any instalment remains unpaid, the lessee shall insure all buildings and erections in the name of His Majesty, in a sum equal to the full insurable value thereof, and for the purposes of this provision the covenant for insurance set out in the Fourth Schedule to “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” shall be implied in the lease.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the rolls for the County of Rodney, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
