THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” by the name of the Kaponga Town District. And in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five members.

SCHEDULE.

KAPONGA TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Block XI., Kaupokonui Survey District, bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 87 from the north-eastern corner of Section No. 41 to Manaiā Road; thence by a right line across that road to the south-western corner of Section No. 106; thence by the said Section No. 106 to the north-western corner of Section No. 57: thence towards the north-east by the said Section No. 57 to Eltham Road; thence across that road to the north-western corner of Section No. 78; thence by the said Section No. 78 to its south-western corner: thence towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 117 and 113 to Manaiā Road; thence by a right line across that road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 98; thence by the said Section No. 98 to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 59: and thence towards the south-west by the said Section No. 59 to Eltham Road; thence by a right line across the said Eltham Road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 41; and thence by the said Section No. 41 to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

PLUNKET, Governor.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner, lessees, and mortgagees of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Cook County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Hangaroa Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consent as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.
