A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners and of the mortgagee of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Hobson County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as taken for a road the land in Mangakahia and Maungaru Survey Districts hereinafter described, that is to say,—

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Act, 1903,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road approach to a railway-station :

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purpose hereinafter specified have been observed and performed :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Act, 1903,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of the construction of a road approach to Waimahanga Station, on the Whangarei-Grahamtown Railway.

Regulations for Sambur or Ceylon Deer Shooting, Counties of Manawatu, Oroua, and Kairanga.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of June, 1905.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same (hereinafter called “the said Acts”), His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations respecting the Sambur or Ceylon deer shooting season within the Counties of Manawatu, Oroua, and Kairanga (hereinafter called “the said district”).

REGULATIONS.

  1. Sambur or Ceylon deer (stags or bucks only) may be taken or killed within the said district from the 1st day of July, 1905, to the 31st day of July, 1905, both days inclusive.

  2. Licenses to kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Wellington, and the Postmasters at Palmers-ton North, Bull’s, Foxton, and Marton, on payment of a license fee of twenty shillings, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Acts and these regulations.

  3. No licensee shall be allowed to take or kill more than three stags or bucks; and, further, the said Chief Postmaster and Postmasters shall not issue more than one license to take or kill deer to the same person.

  4. No hind or fawn will be allowed to be killed on any pretext whatever; and no dogs will be allowed to accompany either the licensee or any attendant he may have with him.

  5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorising any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.
