Public Reserve vested in the Trustees Westport Rifle Range Reserve.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that Sections 18 to 22 inclusive, Block VII., Kawatiri Survey District, adjoining the Westport Rifle Range Reserve, and permanently reserved for public safety, be vested in the Trustees of the Westport Rifle Range Reserve.

THE following special order, made by the Whakatane County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

RESOLUTION made at a special meeting of the Whakatane County Council held at Whakatane on the 17th September, 1904:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows: To borrow by special order, under the provisions of subsection (c) of section 8, “Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” the sum of £230, being 10 per cent. extra of the Council’s loan of £2,300 to form the road along the foreshore Whakatane Township, and to complete other works scheduled under loan; and that, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £230 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council, the said Whakatane County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/16d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Omataroa and Opouriao Ridings, and the following sections in the Waimana Riding —Sections 307 and Nos. 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, Waimana Block: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was confirmed at a meeting of the Whakatane County Council held at Whakatane on Saturday, 22nd October, 1904.

THE following special order, made by the Remuera Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

REMUERA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and of all other powers enabling it, the Remuera Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Remuera Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the public work being the widening, grading, kerbing, channelling, and re-forming of Remuera Road and of Market Road at its junction therewith, the said Remuera Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Remuera Road District, comprising all that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded towards the north generally by Hobson Bay, and the Orakei and Purewa Creeks from the Borough of Parnell to the western boundary-line of Section No. 38A, Parish of Waitemata, Rangitoto Survey District; thence towards the east by said Section No. 38A and the production of its western boundary-line to the southern side of the Tamaki Road; thence towards the south-east by the southern side of that road to the north-eastern corner of Allotment No. 34 of Section No. 12 of the Suburbs of Auckland; thence again towards the east by the eastern boundary-line of that allotment to its south-eastern corner; thence again towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 34 and 25 of Section No. 12 aforesaid to the south-western corner of the latter section; thence by a right line to the junction of roads at the Harp of Erin Inn; thence towards the south-west by the Great South Road to its junction with the Epsom Road; and thence towards the west generally by the Epsom Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883, and by the Boroughs of Newmarket and Parnell, to the place of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
