of three years shall not be demanded: provided that if at any time during the first five years of his occupancy the selector disposes of his interest in the land the rent so conceded shall be paid by him in full, and thereupon the Land Board may remit such instalments of rent payable by the incoming tenant, not exceeding in the aggregate the amount of rent previously conceded to the selector, as the Board shall think fit.
If more than one application is received for the same allotment on the same day, the order of selection shall be decided by ballot.

Limit of holding, 20 acres.

The section comprises flat land, grassed, and ring-fenced. The soil is of good quality, resting on papa formation.

Generally low hills; about 50 acres level and easy slopes on Patea River, remainder rough and broken; soil fair, on papa formation; forest fairly heavy, comprising tawa, rimu, rata, and black-birch, with thick undergrowth. The section is well watered. Elevation, 100 ft. to 1,000 ft. above sea-level.
