town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district under “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” by the name of the Martinborough Town District. And in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven members.

SCHEDULE.

MARTINBOROUGH TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District commencing at a point on the Huangarua Road being the intersection of the production of the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 674 through Part A, Block IX., Huangarua Survey District, with the production of the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 704; thence towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of the said road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 704; thence towards the north-west by a right line to the centre of the said Huangarua Road, being the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 94, Part A, of the said Block IX., Huangarua Survey District; again towards the north-east generally by the middle of the said Huangarua Road and the middle of the Puruatanga Road to the intersection of the last-mentioned road with the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 765; thence towards the south-east by the said road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 765, 730, 735, 736, 741, 742, 759, 760, 761, and 762, to a point opposite the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south-west by a right line from the centre of the said road to the southernmost corner of Section No. 762; thence by the south-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 762, 758, the abutment of Regent Street, Section No. 754, and Section No. 750, to its westernmost corner; thence by the production of the said south-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 750 across the Otaraia Road to a point being the intersection of the said production with the production of the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 699; thence by a right line across Dublin Street to the westernmost corner of the said Section No. 699, and thence by the north-western boundary-lines of the last-mentioned section and Section No. 695 to its northernmost corner; thence by a right line across Otaraia Road to the westernmost corner of Section No. 667; thence by the north-western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section to the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 723; again towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by the said Section No. 723 to the westernmost corner of Section No. 674; again towards the north-west by the north-western boundary-line of said Section No. 674, and that line produced across the New York Road to the place of commencement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 53528, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

Constituting the Town District of Hunter ville, in the County of Rangitikei.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is enacted by “The Town Districts Act, 1904,” that, notwithstanding the repeal by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” of “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” and “The Town Districts Act 1881 Amendment Act, 1883,” the Governor may, in the manner provided by “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” declare that any area wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district, and thereupon the last-mentioned Act and also “The Town Districts Act 1881 Amendment Act, 1883,” shall be in force in such town district: And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under “The Town Districts Act, 1881”: And whereas the number of householders within such area is not less than fifty: And whereas not less than two-thirds of the number of resident householders within the said area have concurred in the said petition, and the said petition has been confirmed by a resolution passed by a majority not less than two-thirds of the members of the Council of the County of Rangitikei, being the county wherein the whole of the proposed town district is situate:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by “The Town Districts Act, 1904,” and “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said area shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” by the name of the Hunter ville Town District. And in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven members.

HUNTERVILLE TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-east generally by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 203, 204, 205, 211, 212, the abutment of a oad, Sections Nos. 213, 231, 232, the abutment of a road, Sections Nos. 234, 268, 197, the abutment of a road, and Section No. 198 to its easternmost corner; towards the east generally by the eastern boundary-lines of the said Section No. 198 and of Sections Nos. 199, 200, the south-eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 201, 202, and 269, all of the Town of Hunter ville, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section, by the side of a road, the crossing of the railway-line, and of a road to the north-western corner of Section No. 86 of the Hunter ville Township Extension; thence again towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary-lines of the said Section No. 86 and Sections Nos. 88 and 89 to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the east generally by the eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 89 to its south-eastern corner, thence by a right line across Rangatira Road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 90, and thence by the eastern boundary-line of said Section No. 90 to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 90, 91, 92, 93, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, the south-eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 105; thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 105 to the North Island Main Trunk Railway-line, across that line to Section No. 106, thence by the north-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 106, the abutment of a road, the south-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 22, 37, the abutment of a road, Sections Nos. 38, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, and 264 to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the north-west by the north-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 264 and of Sections Nos. 67, 265, 61, 62, and 100 to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section, and thence by a right line to the westernmost corner of Section No. 203, the place of commencement.
