In line 13, after words “Field-gun ammunition,” delete the remainder of paragraph, and substitute “For field-guns, 140 rounds per battery.”
(1.) Delete the words “Theoretical papers shall be issued on application by Central Board of Examination, and” in first and second lines.
(2.) In fifth line delete the words “after the theoretical examination.”
Delete the whole regulation.
For “Competitive” in the heading, and also in second line, insert “Class Firing.”
Delete the whole regulation, and substitute “Annual returns of Government property on issue to units, companies, or Government officers, balanced to the 31st December, shall be rendered in duplicate on the prescribed forms to the O.C. District not later than the 15th January following, one copy being for transmission to the Defence Storekeeper, Wellington. O.sC. Districts, O.sC. Permanent Force Detachments, and Substorekeepers shall balance their Equipment Ledgers annually to the 31st December, and shall forward same with vouchers to the Defence Storekeeper, Wellington, for audit when requested.”
Delete the whole regulation, and substitute “When surplus stores or equipment are being returned they should be forwarded by the cheapest and most direct route to the nearest Defence or mobilisation store, or to such other destination as the Defence Storekeeper or the O.C. District may direct. Each package must be labelled showing the corps or unit by whom returned, and the O.C. District or the Storekeeper must be notified by voucher of the contents, date, and manner of forwarding.”
Subsection iii. In eighth line delete the words “must return,” and substitute the words “may retain, but must not wear.”
After the word “ranks” in second line insert the words “excepting field artillery, which will wear it over the left shoulder.”
(1.) Delete the asterisk after the word “Garrison” in the heading, and place it after the subheading “Full Dress.”
(2.) In fourth line, for “blue collar” read “red collar.”
Delete the asterisk after the word “Engineer” in the heading, and place it after the subheading “Full Dress.”
After the words “farrier-sergeant” insert the words “in field artillery three chevrons surmounted by gun and horse-shoe; in all other mounted branches.”
After “driving” delete the remainder of line, and substitute “cross-whips and spur in red; ‘distinguished,’ cross-whips and spur in gold.”
Delete tenth and eleventh lines re sword-belt and slings, and substitute “Girdles, R.F.A. pattern.”
After the word “except” in first line insert the words “Naval Garrison Artillery and.”
In footnotes to Regulations 593 and 594 delete the words “bearing the designation ‘Naval,’ ” and add at end of footnote “but all corps that may in future be raised will adopt the above as full dress.”
