Amended Regulations under “The Defence Act, 1886,” and “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900.”

PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Defence Act, 1886,” and “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may from time to time make, alter, or revoke regulations respecting the enrolment, promotion, discipline, training, exercise, arms, accoutrements, clothing, equipment, conveyance, pay, rations, and lodging of the Forces, or any portion thereof, and respecting the several other matters in the said Act mentioned: And whereas on the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and five, certain regulations were made under the said Act, which were published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and five: And whereas it is expedient to amend such of the said regulations or portion thereof respectively as are set forth in the first column of the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby revoke or amend such of the said regulations of the said first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and five, as are set forth in the first column of the Schedule hereto, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the second column of the said Schedule; and I do further declare that such amended regulations made shall come into force on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six.

| 2. Regulation No. 3 of the said regulations | Under heading “(2) Volunteers,” under heading “New Zealand Field Artillery”:— (a.) Delete the words “higher establishment (15-pr. B.L.)” and the whole of the table referring to “lower establishment (6-pr. Nordenfeldt).” Delete the whole of the paragraph underneath the table, commencing with the word “Batteries” down to “them” inclusive. |
| 3. Same regulation .. .. | (b.) Under heading “(b.) New Zealand Garrison Artillery,” cancel the higher and lower establishment as laid down, and substitute:— |
