Note.—Dull month, very windy in the latter part. Temperatures lower than usual, but with smaller range. Absolute range in month 28°, and mean daily range 11·9° — average for previous years being 13·5°. Mean relative humidity, 68 per cent. Mean vapour tension, ·318 in. Mean dew point, 46·6°.
[Errata.—October 31, barometric pressure was 29·979 in., and the mean for the month 29·827 in.]
