Notifying Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

Section 10 is weighted with £15 for old buildings.

Pukeroa Village is situated about thirteen miles to the north-west of the Township of Hunter ville, and about two miles below the Pukeroa Dairy Factory, which is connected with Hunter ville by coach service. The land is mostly flat and easy sloping, except to the north-west corner, where it runs up to a broken spur. The timber on the sections is scrubby bush on spurs, and on the easier slopes mixed bush, consisting of matai, rimu, kahikatea, tawa, and titoke, with a thick undergrowth of rangiora, patipou, mahoe, and supplejack. A strip of about 3 chains wide has been felled and grassed along Turakina Valley Road by the Government. Section 10 is subject to floods, and is weighted with £15 for old buildings, which have been damaged by flood-water, silt, &c. There is a hut on Section 1, the owner of which will be given one month from date of sale in which to remove it, if he does not become the purchaser of the section.

Notice of a Public Reserve being available for Mining at a Depth of 50 ft. from the Surface.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty-seven of “The Mining Act, 1905,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the Gazette, the public reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be available for mining at a depth below fifty feet from the surface.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 133 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 15 of Block XVI., Ohinemuri Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a road, 1529·7, 1109·4, and 1504 links; towards the east generally by a road along the Ohinemuri River, 449, 854·7, 444·9, 465·4, 738·1, 368·2, 663, and 377 links; towards the south generally by continuation of same road, 686·8, 776·7, and 268·5 links; and towards the west generally by continuation of road, 551·5, 274·4, 783·7, 1520·7, and 1008·4 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. [Permanently reserved as a recreation-ground on the 11th day of February, 1902.]

Old-age Pension Forms amended.

PURSUANT to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by “The Old-age Pensions Act, 1898,” and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby revoke the forms numbered six and twenty-two appearing in the Schedule of the regulations under the Old-age Pensions Acts made on the thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of February then instant, and in lieu thereof doth hereby substitute the following :—
