APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
To the Warden of the Karamea Mining District, at Collingwood.
Pursuant to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, John Simpson Squire, of Tukurua, Collingwood, Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 30th October, 1903; No. 41412.
Address for service: The office of F. West, Collingwood.
Dated at Collingwood, this 13th day of November, 1903.
SCHEDULE.
Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Tukurua Creek; commencing at the S.W. boundary of Section 67, thence through that section and Sections 68, 65, and 104, being freehold lands in the Waitapu Survey District, and terminating at applicant’s machine-sites—namely, chaffcutter, separator, and churner.
Length and intended course of race: About one mile; S.W. to N.E.
Point of intake: Peg marked A.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Eight months; £100.
Mean depth and breadth: 3 ft. by 2 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: Five.
Purpose for which water is to be used: To drive chaffcutter, separator, and churner.
