Redefining Ohingaiti Riding, in the County of Rangitikei.

PLUNKET. Governor.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and four, made under “The Counties Act 1886 Amendment Act, 1895,” the boundaries of the Counties of Hawke’s Bay and Rangitikei were altered, and a certain area thereby added to the County of Rangitikei:

And whereas it is expedient to include the area so added to the County of Rangitikei in the Ohingaiti Riding of the said county:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by “The Counties Act, 1886,” do hereby declare that the area added to the County of Rangitikei shall be included in the Ohingaiti Riding, and that the boundaries of the said riding shall be those described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

OHINGAITI RIDING.

All that area in the Wellington and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts, bounded towards the north, towards the west, again towards the north, towards the east, towards the north-west, again towards the north-east, towards the south-east generally by the Rangitikei County boundary hereinbefore described, from the Murimoto Road to the southernmost corner of Section No. 3 of the Rangitira Block, in Block VII., Ongo Survey District; thence towards the south-west by Section No. 2 of the Rangitira Block, in Block X., Ongo Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 2; thence again towards the south-east by the said Section No. 2 to a point opposite to the southernmost corner of Section No. 41, Block VI., Ongo Survey District; thence towards the south-west by a right line across the Rangitira Road, and by the western boundary-line of the said Section No. 41 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 37, Block X., Ongo Survey District; thence by a line to and by the said Section No. 37, and by Section No. 38A, Block VI., Ongo Survey District, to the Marton-Hunterville Road; thence towards the west generally by that road to the south-western corner of Section No. 22, Hunterville Township Extension; thence towards the north by the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section, across a road, and by the northern boundary-line of Section No. 106, Hunterville Township Extension, and by the last-mentioned boundary-line produced to intersect a line being the production in a southerly direction of the eastern boundary-line of Sections Nos. 100 to 104, Hunterville Township Extension; thence towards the west by the last-mentioned line to the south-western corner of Section No. 93; thence again towards the north by the said Section No. 93 and Sections Nos. 92, 91, and 90; thence again towards the west by the last-mentioned section to its north-eastern corner; thence towards the south-west by a right line across a road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 89, and by the last-mentioned section to its north-eastern corner; thence towards the south by Sections Nos. 89, 88, and 86, all of the Hunterville Township Extension; thence again towards the north-west by the crossing of a road and the railway, by the side of a road, by Sections Nos. 269, 202, 201, 200, 199, and 198, Town of Hunterville; thence again towards the south by the last-mentioned section to its north-western corner; thence again towards the north-west generally by the Murimoto Road to the northern boundary of Rangitikei County, to the place of commencement.

Warrant fixing the Scale of Tolls to be charged at the Upper Mokau Ferry, at Wairere, on the Paemako-Ohura Road.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of “The Public Works Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, provided that a Road Board may from time to time fix the scale of tolls to be collected at any toll-gate or ferry upon a district road from all persons, cattle, or vehicles passing the same, and may revoke or alter such scale:

And whereas by section one hundred and five of the said Act it is, inter alia, enacted that all powers, rights, duties, and liabilities thereby vested in and imposed upon a Road Board in respect of a district road shall, in the case of a Government road, be vested in and imposed upon the Governor:

And whereas the ferry described in the First Schedule hereto (hereinafter called “the said ferry”) is situated upon a Government road, and it is desirable to fix the scale of tolls to be collected thereat:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the hereinbefore-recited authority, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby autho-
