NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

Application for Confirmation Certificate under Section 55.

Registrar’s Office, Auckland, 17th August, 1904.

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to a Judge of the Court for a certificate under section 55 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” confirming the alienation hereunder specified. All objections to the granting of such certificate must be lodged with me within fourteen days from the publication of this notice.

LAND REFERRED TO THE NATIVE LAND COURT FOR INQUIRY UNDER SUBSECTION (10) OF SECTION 14 OF “THE NATIVE LAND COURT ACT, 1894.” (344-4, 1/145)

WHEREAS, in pursuance of an Order in Council dated the 8th day of June, 1904, the Native Land Court is authorised, under subsection (10) of section 14 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” to exercise in respect of the lands known as Kaikou and Marumauku Blocks, containing respectively 4,844 acres and 4,428 acres, more or less, jurisdiction to determine who are the Natives entitled beneficially to such lands by virtue of the trust expressed in the Crown grants thereof, or other documentary title, and to order the inclusion of such Natives in the titles, either together with or in lieu of the nominal owners or any of them, and for the purpose aforesaid to order the cancellation or amendment of any existing instrument of title, and the issue of such new Crown grants or other instruments of title as may be necessary, and generally to exercise in respect of the said lands the jurisdiction and powers conferred on the Native Land Court by the said subsection (10) of the section 14 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and its amendments, so far as the same may be necessary or applicable for the purpose aforesaid.

Now, therefore, it is hereby notified that at a sitting to be held at Russell, Bay of Islands, on the 8th day of September, 1904, and succeeding days, the said Court will proceed to inquire into the above case, in accordance with the terms of the said Order in Council.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at the Native Land Court Office at Auckland, on the 19th day of September, 1904, to hear and determine the matter mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written, in respect of which application has been received by the Registrar, and all such other matters as may be lawfully brought before it.
