Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act; the value of the land for the purposes of section 5 of the said Act being less than £100.

NOTE.—A fine month, the rainfall being over an inch below the average. The winds were light and variable, and on twelve mornings it was calm at the moment of observation. The average daily velocity of the wind was below the average by 10·1 miles. The month as a whole was clear, and not quite so overcast as the observations taken at 9.30 a.m. tend to show. Dew was recorded on the 3rd, ’02; 4th, ’01; and 14th, ’01. Maximum temperature in the shade, 57·9°; minimum, 32·0°; mean temperature of dew point, 40·6°; mean humidity, 79.

Notice of Election of Member of the Board of Conciliation for the Canterbury Industrial District.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1900,” I, Edward Tregear, Registrar of Industrial Unions under the Act, do hereby notify that
GEORGE BURSTON CHICK, Builder, Dean Street, St. Albans, representing the employers,
has been duly elected a member of the Board of Conciliation in and for the Canterbury Industrial District, for the residue of the term of the late Albert Palmer.

NOTICE is hereby given that, the lease of the under mentioned small grazing-run having been forfeited by resolution of the Otago Land Board, the said run has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned village-homestead allotment will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, on Monday, the 10th day of October, 1904, under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
If more than one application is received for the allotment on the same day, the order of selection shall be decided by ballot.
