IN the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th February, 1904, there appeared a return showing the estimated yield per acre of wheat, oats, and barley for the colony, viz.: Wheat, 30 bushels; oats, 40 bushels; and barley, 35 bushels.
The actual yields now to hand are as follows:—

The area for threshing was 230,346 acres, and the total yield is computed at .. 7,891,654 bushels.
