Means for increasing the saleability of goods. Claims.--(1.) Means for increasing the saleability of goods by distributing among the packets containing the goods one or more pictures cut up into several pieces, substantially as described. (2.) Packeting goods with the covering material of the packet having marked thereon portions of a picture, substantially as and for the purposes set forth. (Specification, 1s.) No. 16377.--19th May, 1903.--ROBERT CONGREVE, of 127, Colombo Street, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, Ironmonger. An improved cycle-lock. Claims.--(1.) In combination with a bicycle, a lock fixed to the frame of the machine, and a pivoted arm locked by the said lock and engaging a wheel-spoke or the crank of the machine whereby a wheel of the machine is prevented from revolving, substantially as set forth. (2.) In combination with a bicycle, a lock fixed to one tube of the frame of the machine and an arm pivoted to the opposite tube, the said arm having a tailpiece which engages the tumblers of the lock, substantially as set forth. (3.) In combination with a bicycle, a lock fixed to one tube of the frame of the machine and an arm pivoted to the opposite tube, the said arm having a tailpiece which engages the tumblers of the lock, a coil spring in the joint of the arm, and a spring clip upon the back of the arm for holding the arm when not in operative position, substantially as set forth. (4.) In combination with a bicycle, a lock fixed to the frame of the machine, an arm pivoted to the lock and having a tailpiece to engage the tumblers of the lock, the said arm being bifurcated to embrace a spoke or a wheel, or the crank of the machine, substantially as set forth. (5.) The combination and arrangements of parts comprising the improved device for locking wheels of bicycles, substantially as and for the purposes set forth, and illustrated in the drawings.
