IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 2 of “The Towns Main Streets Act, 1902,” I do hereby authorise the laying-off of Rotherham Street, in the Town of Collingwood Extension No. 5, Canterbury Land District, of a width of 66 ft., instead of 99 ft. as prescribed by section 17 of “The Land Act, 1892.”

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the following additional by-laws, made by the Horouta Maori Council, under the provisions of section 16 of “The Maori Councils Act, 1900.”

HOROUTA MAORI COUNCIL.
THE Maori Council of the Horouta Maori Council District, constituted under “The Maori Councils Act, 1900,” hereby makes the following additional by laws under and by virtue of the said Act, such additional by-laws to come into operation upon approval thereof by the Governor, and the publication of the same in the Gazette and Kahiti:—
16A. Any person found drunk in any Maori kainga shall be liable to a fine not exceeding five shillings for a first offence, and not exceeding one pound for every subsequent offence.
16B. Any person who introduces or takes intoxicating liquor into any Maori kainga shall be liable to a fine not exceeding five pounds for a first offence, and not exceeding ten pounds for any subsequent offence.
Passed at a meeting of the Horouta Maori Council held at Kawakawa on the 6th day of October, 1903.

to be a Health Inspector for the Maori Council Districts of Te Arawa and Tauranga.
ALFRED MORTON MOON, of Whangarei,
to be Official Member of the Whangarei Maori Council, vice Thomas Kirk, removed.
HARI HEMARA, of Otorohanga,
to be a member of the Maniapoto Maori Council, vice Hone Keeti, whose seat has become vacant through absence without leave from three consecutive meetings of the Council.
TE WATIKENA HEREWINI, of Otorohanga,
to be a member of the Maniapoto Maori Council, vice Hekenui te Awhe, whose seat has become vacant through absence without leave from three consecutive meetings of the Council.
NGATAI MAMAKU, of Taumarunui,
to be a member of the Whanganui Maori Council, vice Maeke Waiora, whose seat has become vacant through absence without leave from three consecutive meetings of the Council.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand passed in the forty-fourth year of the reign of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria, and intituled “The Marriage Act, 1880,” the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information:—

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
To the owner or owners of a parcel of land containing 1 acre, more or less, being Allotment 560, Town of Cambridge East. The grantee is William Carey, described as a Waikato Militia man, who cannot be traced. The land is in the occupation of Henrietta Badham, of Aloe-holm, Cambridge.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:
Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
