THE following special order, made by the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order re Loan of £900 for defraying Cost of Erection Ohau Bridge.
Special Meeting, 17th October, 1903.
THAT the following resolution, made under the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886,” clause 124, relating to special orders, be adopted, as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £900, authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” subsection 3, clause 14, and “The Public Works Act, 1894,” clause 113, for the purpose of defraying the cost of erection of the Ohau High-level Bridge, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Horowhenua County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off: the said special order to be confirmed at a special meeting to be held on the 25th day of November, 1903.

This Council do now confirm the special order, made under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” subsection 3, clause 14, and “The Public Works Act, 1894,” clause 113, re loan of £900 to defray cost of the erection of Ohau High-level Bridge, made at a special meeting held on the 17th October, 1903.
I certify the above to be a copy of the special order made at special meetings held on the 17th October and the 25th November, 1903.

Special Order.
THAT the prayer of the petitioners of the Manchester Road District, as set forth in a certain petition this day presented to the Oroua County Council, be acceded to, and the Council hereby declare the Manchester Road Board be dissolved as from the 4th day of December, 1903, and the said Manchester Road District merged in the Oroua County.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been made and confirmed in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”
