Exempting Land from the Operation of “The State Coal-mines Act, 1901.”
RANFURLY, Governor.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section four of “The State Coal-mines Act, 1901” (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and in exercise of the powers thereby conferred, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby exempt from the operation of the said Act the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of the area set apart for the purposes of the said Act by Warrant issued under my hand on the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of May of the same year, and I further direct that the land so exempted from the operation of the said Act shall be disposed of under the lease-in-perpetuity provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
SCHEDULE.
RUNANGA TOWNSHIP.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, situated in Blocks II. and III., Cobden Survey District, containing by admeasurement 155 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 4 of the said Block III. from the Greymouth Road to the Greymouth–Point Elizabeth Railway Reserve; thence towards the south-east generally by the said Greymouth–Point Elizabeth Railway Reserve to the northern boundary of Recreation Reserve No. 361; thence towards the south by the said Recreation Reserve No. 361 to the Greymouth Road; thence by a right line across the said Greymouth Road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 9, Block II.; thence again towards the south by the said Section No. 9 for a distance of 5 chains, more or less; thence towards the north-west by a right line parallel to the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 10 of the said Block II. to its northern boundary-line; thence again towards the north by the northern boundary-line of Section No. 10 aforesaid to the Greymouth Road; and thence by the last-mentioned boundary-line produced across the said Greymouth Road; and thence again towards the north-west by the Greymouth Road to the place of commencement.
