A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners and of the mortgagee of the lands herein-after mentioned, and with the consent of the Pohangina County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as taken for a road the lands in Pohangina and Oroua Survey Districts hereinafter described, that is to say,—

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the twenty-third section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time establish and define, abolish, alter, or reconstitute local districts for the sale or disposal of land, and in like manner from time to time may appoint land offices, and land officers or other persons for conducting sales of land in such local districts, and for receiving applications for the sale, letting, disposal, or occupation of Crown lands, and for generally carrying into effect the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the district described in the Schedule hereto is hereby established, defined, and constituted a local land district for the sale and disposal of land under the said Act, and that the land offices the names of which are in the said Schedule set opposite the name of the said local district are appointed the land offices for the said local district.

| BICKERSTAFFE LOCAL LAND DISTRICT. All those parcels of land in the Land District of Auckland, situated in Blocks XV., XVI., Matakoe, XII., Waipu, I., Otamatea, and IV., Hukatere Survey Districts, and being the Tokotapu Block and portions of the Pukehuia and Okahurewa Blocks, containing by admeasurement 12,480 acres and 19 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west generally by the Te Pahi River, by a portion of the Pukehuia Block, 1366·5, 1601, 1165, 565, 630·5, and 450·6 links respectively; again by the Te Pahi River aforesaid: towards the north-east by another portion of the Pukehuia Block, 1005·5, 1632·5, 2884·3, 654, and 8941 links respectively; by portions of the Pukehuia and Okahurewa Blocks, 5853·2 links; the crossing of a road, 102·3 links; a public road, 480, 485, 186·8, 583·6, 248, and 200 links respectively; and again by the same portion of the Okahurewa Block, 17160 links: towards the east generally by the Wairau and Otamatea Rivers: towards the south-east by Native land, 11005 links and 2617 links: towards the south-west generally by a swamp; the Pakaraka Block, 2275 links; the Hokoraho Stream, and the Pakaraka Block aforesaid, 3100, 1081, 446, 1925, and 697 links respectively; Section 40 of the Parish of Whakapirau, the termination of a road, and Section 45 of the Parish of Whakapirau, 6886 links; the Whakapirau Stream; another portion of the Pukehuia Block, 83·6, 360·2, 390·6, 156, 248·8, 206·2, 119·2, 128·2, 250, 128·1, 115·5, 270·2, 587·6, 262·3, 161·5, and 6768·4 links respectively; the crossing of a road, 110 links; a public road, 1399·4, 455·9, 270·2, 258·2, 435·8, 170·2, 398·7, 567·9, 439·7, 374·8, 349·1, 486·5, 1013·4, 577·5, 599, 388·3, 413·8, 365·3, 293·6, 550·9, 536, 423·2, 1064·6, 218·7, 246, 510·6, 175·2, 172·8, 338·6, 312, 564·8, 524·2, 452·9, 663, 364, and 285·5 links respectively; by another portion of the Pukehuia Block, 3779·7 links; and the Ahikiwi Block, 2142·1 and 9856·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: save and except the public roads which intersect the estate described: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19271, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red. | Principal Land Office, Auckland.
