Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act; the value of the land for the purposes of section 5 of the said Act being less than £100.

All that parcel of land containing 60 acres, more or less, and being the north-eastern portion of Section 93 and the south-western portion of Section 95, Parish of Ruarangi, in the Provincial District of Auckland.

IN pursuance of clause 15 of the regulations contained in an Order in Council bearing date the 4th March, 1895, I, James Barnes Heywood, the Chairman of the Board appointed under “The Civil Service Officers’ Guarantee Act, 1893,” do issue the following notice of a call under the said Act:—

NOTE.—The month was warm and fine throughout, a series of strong winds occurring about the middle. The rainfall is the smallest that has been experienced since October, 1894; maximum fall for the month was registered on 2nd, 0·17in. Prevailing winds from north and north-west. Maximum temperature in shade, 72·4°; minimum, 42·0°. Mean temperature of dew-point, 47·4°; mean humidity, 70.

NOTICE is hereby given that, the leases of the undermentioned Crown lands having been forfeited by resolution of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
