Pursuant to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, William Pearson, of Lawrence, Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing in a small creek in freehold Section 43, Block X., Tuapeka East District, belonging to Daniel McCluskey; following course of old water-race through part of said Section 43; thence through part of freehold Section 11, Block X. aforesaid, belonging to George Edward McCluskey; thence through part of freehold Section 16, Block II., Tuapeka East District, belonging to Edward Tubman and John Joseph Paulin; thence through part of freehold Sections 18 and 24 of said Block II., belonging to Julia Cameron; and terminating in freehold Section 23, Block II. aforesaid, belonging to John Pearson. Pegs marked X.
Length and intended course of race: Four miles; westerly and southerly.
Points of intake: At head of race.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Partly constructed, as it consists of course of old race, except through Section 23, Block II., Tuapeka East District; six months; £200.
