Land temporarily reserved in the Otago Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Otago Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres and 19 perches, more or less, being Blocks Nos. LIV., LV., and LVI., Town of Queenstown. Bounded towards the north-west by Cemetery Reserve No.1, 1847·7 links; thence towards the north-east by Isle Street, 123·2 links; thence towards the south-east by Isle Street, 1987·5 links; and thence towards the south-west by Hay Street, 564·5 links; and intersected by Cemetery Road and Camp Street: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 40309, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a recreation reserve.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Bounded towards the north-east by a public road forming part of the south-western boundary of Sections Nos. 9 and 10, towards the south generally by a public road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 25, and towards the north-west by a public road forming the south-east boundary of Section No. 24: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51292, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a cemetery reserve.

Bounded towards the north by Section No. 7, Suburbs of Taihape; towards the east by the abutment of a public road, Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block XX., Town of Taihape; towards the south by Sections Nos. 9, 10, and 11, Block XX., Town of Taihape; and towards the west by Section No. 26, Suburbs of Taihape: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51177, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a hospital site.

Bounded towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east and south-west by Section No. 236 of the Suburbs of Pokeno; towards the north-west and again towards the south-west by Section No. 784 of the Town of Pokeno; and again towards the north-west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51168, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a public-school site.
