EVIDENCE of the loss of the certificates of title
mentioned in the Schedule hereunder having been
lodged with me, and application made to issue provisional
certificates of title, notice is hereby given of my intention
to issue provisional certificates of title accordingly at the
expiration of fourteen days after the date of the Gazette
containing this notice.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council, on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, propose to take, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” all that piece of land, containing 1 rood, more or less, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title recorded in the Canterbury District Land Registry in Register-book, Volume xv., folio 158, and being part of Rural Section numbered 6 on the map of the Chief Surveyor of the Canterbury District, for the purpose of a public road, and that the making and laying of which road is the work proposed to be done on the said land:

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land required to be taken, and the names of the owner and the occupier of such land, so far as can be ascertained, is deposited at the office of the said Christchurch City Council, at the corner of Oxford Terrace and Worcester Street, in the City of Christchurch, and is open for public inspection during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such land or to the execution of such work, set forth in writing such objections, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Christchurch City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk, at the office of the said City Council, at the corner of Oxford Terrace and Worcester Street, in the City of Christchurch.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR BOROUGH WATERWORKS.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1894”; and in the matter of a certain piece of land, being part of Sub-section 4, Araheke Native Reserve, Section M, Paritutu Survey District, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth require to take the piece of land, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being part of Sub-section 4, Araheke Native Reserve, Section M, Paritutu Survey District, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, for the purpose of waterworks; and that, in pursuance of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” a copy of the plan showing the position of the said section required to be taken is open for public inspection at Mr. J. Downes’s Store, at Bell Block, in the Egmont Road District; and it is hereby notified that all persons affected by such proposed works and taking are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the New Plymouth Borough Council at New Plymouth.
