NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of Waihuahua No. 4, and of the application of Michael Edward Groome under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS the said Michael Edward Groome had, prior to the making of the orders hereinafter referred to, acquired the interests of certain Natives in Waihuahua No. 4, and his title to the said interests had been duly registered: And whereas, on the 18th day of January, 1897, the Native Land Court partitioned the said block into Waihuahua 4A and 4B, and included in 4B the Natives, or some of the Natives, whose interests had been acquired as aforesaid: And whereas at the time of making the said partition the Court was not informed and was not aware that the said Natives had parted with their interests, and by reason of the said partition the rights of the said Michael Edward Groome in the said land have been prejudicially affected:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the Native Land Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby annul the said orders of the 18th day of January, 1897, and the partition thereby made, and also the further orders of the Court, dated the 11th day of June, 1902, making partition of Waihuahua 4B, to the intent that the said Michael Edward Groome may be enabled to apply to the Native Land Court to have allotted to him such portion of Waihuahua No. 4 as he may on inquiry be found by the Court to be entitled to.

As witness my hand, this 7th day of September, 1903.

GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.
