ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1903.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of the Upper Waitotara Valley Road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
SCHEDULE.
That portion of the road known as the Waitotara Valley Road, in the Wellington Land District, in the Omahine Survey District, commencing at the junction of the Manga-whio and Waitotara Valley Roads, at Kaimanuka (McConachie’s), and proceeding thence in a northerly and north-westerly direction for a length of 4 miles 15 chains or thereabouts to the point where the boundary between the Wellington and the Taranaki Districts intersects the Waitotara Valley Road: as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 781, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and marked AB.

Addition to Hampden Bush (Hawke’s Bay) Domain brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1903.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for public recreation in the Hawke’s Bay Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 52 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less,
being Lot No. 2 of Section No. 37, Tikokino Agricultural Sections. Block XVI., Wakarara Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 48879A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

Powers delegated to the Lake Ellesmere Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1903.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth hereby, with the like advice and consent, and in respect of the land hereinafter mentioned, delegate all the powers conferred by the said Act, except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, for the period of ten years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to the undermentioned persons, who shall be known as the Lake Ellesmere Domain Board, namely,—

JOHN WOLFE,
ALEXANDER CARRICK,
ARCHIBALD SCOTT,
BENJAMIN MOORHOUSE,
GEORGE McBEAN, and
THE COMMISSIONER OF CROWN LANDS, Christchurch (ex officio)
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained. that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the last Wednesday in each month, at three o’clock p.m., at the Selwyn County Council Office, Christchurch, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the last Wednesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion. and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcel of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto.
