Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed.
NOTICE.—JOHN DANIEL KIRBY, of Hobart, in Tasmania, a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of that State, has this day been appointed by His Honour Joshua Strange Williams, Esquire, a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the said Supreme Court of New Zealand in Tasmania, under the 2nd section of “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of administering and taking any oath, affidavit, or affirmation as in the said section mentioned.

Tenders for Inland Mail-services for 1904–1906.

SEALED tenders will be received at the several Chief Post Offices in the colony until Monday, the 5th October, 1903, for the conveyance of mails between the undermentioned places, for a period of THREE years, from the 1st January, 1904, to the 31st December, 1906.
POSTAL DISTRICT OF TIMARU.
Extension of Fairlie–Lake Pukaki Mail-service.
- Lake Pukaki and Hermitage, from 1st November to 30th April, twice weekly. Leave Lake Pukaki, Wednesday and Saturday; and leave Hermitage, Tuesday and Friday. (Alternative to No. 5A.)*

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. The attention of intending tenderers is directed to the terms and conditions of contract printed at the back of the tender forms.
Successful tenderers will be required to show that they are in a position to satisfactorily carry out the services.
Contractors whose tenders may be accepted must be prepared to carry out the services for which they tender according to time-tables framed by the Department. Where the tender is over £500 for any one service, the attention of the tenderer is directed to clauses 26 and 26A of the terms and conditions.
Forms of tender, with the terms and conditions of contract, may be procured at any post-office.
No tender will be considered unless made on the printed form.

Notice of Vesting of Lands in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owners thereof, and have, in respect of the said lands, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owners of either section are, and believe that such owners respectively are not in the colony, nor have any of such owners established his or their title to the said sections or either of them, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said lands are respectively, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act; the assessed values of the lands, for the purposes of section 5 of the said Act, being respectively less than £100.
