Native Land Court Notices

Sept. 24.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 2107

NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of the Moringai Block, and of the application of the executors of the late J. W. Reid, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS the above application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported on: And whereas it appears that the said J. W. Reid, before the making of the orders hereinafter referred to, had acquired certain interests in the said Moringai Block: And whereas, on the 5th day of October, 1893, the Native Land Court partitioned the said block into Moringai A and B, and included in Moringai B Natives or the successors to Natives whose interests had been acquired by the said J. W. Reid as aforesaid: And whereas it has been proved to the satisfaction of the Court that the applicants have been prejudicially affected by the said partition:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the power vested in me as Chief Judge of the Native Land Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby annul the said orders of the 5th day of October, 1893, and the partition thereby made, to the intent that the applicants may be enabled to make application to the Native Land Court to have allotted to them such proportion of the said block as they may, on inquiry by the said Court, be found entitled to.

As witness my hand, this 3rd day of September, 1903. GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 67 (Huhutirau), and of the application of Te Manawaiti Taohua under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS the above application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported on: And whereas it appears to have been the intention of the Court, on the investigation of the title to the said block, to include in the ownership thereof all the children of the said Manawaiti Taohua, but in the order of the Court ascertaining the title to the said block the name of Te Riu, one of the said children, was accidentally omitted:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said omission, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the Native Land Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the order of the Native Land Court ascertaining the title to the said block, which said order bears date the 16th day of November, 1900, be amended by adding thereto the name of the said Te Riu as the owner of three shares in the said block.

As witness my hand, this 3rd day of September, 1903. GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.
