Vesting a Reserve in the Woodville Borough Council.

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of September, 1903.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was permanently set aside as a site for a library and mechanics’ institute, on the seventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Woodville Borough Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Woodville,” in trust, as a reserve for a site for a library and mechanics’ institute.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 44, Town of Woodville.

Native Lands in Ngarara West “A” Block, Kaitawa and Kapiti Survey Districts, to be taken for Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of September, 1903.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the construction of roads:

And whereas the said lands are held or occupied by Native owners, and the title thereto is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map of the said lands has been prepared in duplicate, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the lands shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the public work hereinbefore mentioned; and the said lands shall vest in His Majesty King Edward the Seventh, as from the twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Revoking Delegation of Powers under “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” to the Clinton Domain Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of September, 1903.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council of the fifteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, Section No. 82, Block IX., Pomahaka Survey District, Otago Land District, was brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to the provisions of, “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” and it was further declared that such domain should be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act by the Domain Board constituted by an Order in Council issued on the sixth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, viz., the Clinton Town Board:

And whereas it is expedient to revoke that portion of the said Order in Council of the fifteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, which vests in the said Clinton Town Board the management and control of the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke the following words of the said Order in Council of the fifteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine—“and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act by the Domain Board constituted by an Order in Council issued on the sixth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight”—and the delegation therein contained; and doth hereby declare that from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette the said domain shall cease to be under the control or management of the Clinton Town Board acting as such Domain Board as aforesaid.

Fixing Sitting of Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of September, 1903.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by “The Court of Appeal Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the Court shall hold its sittings at such times and places as shall from time to time be fixed by the Governor in Council, and proclaimed in the Government Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon Monday, the twelfth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,” and “The Fisheries Conservation Act Amendment Act, 1902,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purposes of the said Acts, and doth hereby declare that these regulations shall have force and effect in each acclimatisation district throughout the colony:—
