A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Ngaire Ballast-pit Siding, on the Stratford–Kawakawa Railway (hereinafter termed “the said railway”), is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1901”: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the same:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
STRATFORD–KAWAKAWA RAILWAY.—NGAIRE BALLAST-PIT SIDING.
COMMENCING at a point on the Toko Section of the Stratford–Wangamomona Branch Railway, the said point being marked 3 miles 77 chains, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction for a distance of about one mile, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, viz., Subdivisions 9 and 14 of Section I., Block III., Ngaire Survey District, and terminating at a point in said Subdivision 14 of said Section 1 distant in a southerly direction about 48½ chains from the northern boundary thereof: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Taranaki: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 20187, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of roads in Hautapu and Ohinewairua Survey Districts:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the issue of this Proclamation have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said roads. And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and three.
