Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

Claims.—(1.) In apparatus for the purpose indicated, a chamber, the top and bottom of which are perforated, adapted to be fixed over an opening communicating with the outside of a room, a box slide sliding within said chamber, having sloping deflecting plates fixed longitudinally within it, some of which are perforated, said box slide having perforated top and bottom walls, and being provided with means whereby it may be operated, substantially as specified. (2.) In apparatus for the purpose indicated, in combination, the rail of a window-sash through which is a slot opening a perforated plate covering said opening upon the outside of the sash, a shutter hinged above and adapted to cover the opening, a chamber communicating with said opening upon the inside of the sash, having perforated walls, a box slide, the walls of which are perforated, fitting and slidable with the opening and said chamber, sloping deflecting plates, some of which are perforated, within the box-slide, and means for operating the box-slide, substantially as specified.

Claims.—(1.) In means for supporting window-curtains, vertical rods provided with brackets or loops upon their top ends in which the curtain-pole will rest, and means whereby such rods may be kept in the vertical position and be raised and lowered as desired, substantially as specified. (2.) In means for supporting window-curtains, vertical rods provided with brackets or loops upon their top ends in which the curtain-pole will rest, such rods being hinged at their bottom ends to the sides of a window-frame or other suitable fixture, and cords secured to the top ends of the rods by means of which they may be raised and lowered on their hinges, substantially as specified. (3.) The general arrangement, construction, and combination of parts in my improved means for supporting window-curtains, as described and explained, as illustrated in the drawings, and for the purposes set forth.
