Notice of Result of Poll, Northern Maori Electoral District.
NORTHERN MAORI ELECTORAL DISTRICT.
IN pursuance of a writ under the hand of Hugh Pollen, Esq., Clerk of the Writs, a poll was, on the 22nd day of December, 1902, taken at the several gazetted polling-places, under the provisions of “The Electoral Act, 1902,” for the purpose of the election of a member of the House of Representatives for the Northern Maori Electoral District: And whereas Hone Heke, of Wellington, aboriginal native, received the greatest number of votes recorded by such poll: Now I do hereby declare him, the said
HONE HEKE,
duly elected as a member of the said House of Representatives for the Northern Maori Electoral District.

I, JOHN BROOKING, Returning Officer for the Eastern Maori Electoral District, hereby give notice that the total number of votes recorded for each candidate nominated respectively at the polling on the 22nd day of December, 1902, is as hereunder:—

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned totara and kauri timber, standing on Section 2, Block XI., Kaeo Survey District, Bay of Islands County, will be offered for sale by public auction, at this office, on Friday, the 13th day of March, 1903, at 11 o’clock a.m.
SCHEDULE.
483 kauri-trees, containing about 564,111 superficial feet;
675 totara-trees, containing about 605,735 superficial feet:
upset price, £927.
Conditions of Sale.—One-half of the purchase-money to be paid in cash or by marked cheque on the fall of the hammer, and the remaining half within six months thereafter, supported by promissory note. All timber to be removed within two years from date of sale.
