HIWINUI RIDING.

All that area in the County of Oroua, in the Wellington Land District, bounded towards the north-east and south-east by the Pohangina County, as described in the Schedule to “The Pohangina County Act, 1894,” from the north-eastern corner of the Taonui Riding to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence again towards the south-east and towards the south-west generally by the Kairanga County, as described in the Schedule to “The Kairanga County Act, 1901,” to the southernmost corner of the Taonui Riding; thence towards the west by the Taonui Riding hereinbefore described to the place of commencement: excepting the Otangaki Riding hereinbefore described.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Trustees for the Tataraimaka Public Cemetery appointed.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

John Pearce, Henry Smith, William Honeyfield. TATARAIMAKA. All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 28 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 19, Tataraimaka District, Block II., Cape Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the Timaru Road, 650·5 links; towards the south-east by other part of Section 19, Tataraimaka District, 291·2 links; towards the south-west by other part of Section No. 19 aforesaid, 619·5 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 21, Tataraimaka, 401·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 48030, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section 1, Block LXVI., Rotorua Township Extension, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a right line bearing due east from Tryon Street, 250 links; towards the east by a right line bearing due south, 100 links; towards the south by Froude Street, 250 links; and towards the west by Tryon Street, 100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 49451, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a post-office site.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twelfth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Arrangements for Elections, &c., Oroua County.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

CHARLES BRAY

to be the person to make up electors’ rolls for all ridings in the County of Oroua; also to be the Returning Officer to conduct the elections of members of the Council of the said county; and also to be the Clerk of the Oroua County Council for the purpose of presiding at the first meeting thereof.
